I want to make a motion to the court but I need a DOCKET NUMBER. How do I go about getting one?

I just discovered that I may be the victim of Judicial fraud and I want to make a specific motion to the Court for discovery. I need a docket number. How do I get one? The clerk will give you the case#, file# as for a docket number, i cant say I have ever heard of anyone needing that.
