How would I wire a 200 foot hallways with motion sensors?

I want to make sure that when any one of the sensors detect motion, all of the lights in the hallways turn on and further detection from another sensor shouldn't turn the light off either? I think i would need to use 2-3 sensors because I want them to come on very quickly with the slightest movement. How would I wire a 200 foot hallways with motion sensors?carefullyHow would I wire a 200 foot hallways with motion sensors? You'd have to check a couple of things with the motion detector ratings. Can their outputs be connected in parallel (check mfg specs)? What is the total wattage any one of the detectors can handle? What is the detection range?

If all of the above are okay, then make a drawing on paper so you understand what you will be doing. If in doubt, don' t do it!

1. Run a single line power to the sensor locations. This has to be a separate line power from the lighting power.

1. Connect this line power to each of the sensors inputs.

2. Connect the sensors load outputs together and to the line going to the light fixtures..

3. Connect all of the grounds together.

4. You may or may not want to disconnect the light switch from the light fixtures. I would leave them connected should your sensors fail. How would I wire a 200 foot hallways with motion sensors? You are going to have to have a lot more than 2-3 sensors. If you try to use sensors with a 50-60 foot range, the outward end of the range has such big cells as to not sense quickly - you have to move between cells to trigger the sensor. You will have to have on the order of 20 sensors ceiling or wall mounted unless there are only a few doorways on the hall then you can put a sensor at each door and each end. The kind you want are the short range using in bathrooms and class rooms. The low voltage wiring sends a signal when any one detects movement and the keeping the lights on is a function of a timer circuit at the switch/relay.How would I wire a 200 foot hallways with motion sensors?
Consider one of the microwave intrusion sensors. Some of them can protect a hallway several times as long as yours. You can find them on the Internet.
