What drives the motion of the plates on the earth?,geophysical and geochemical evidence for mantle convection?

What drives the motion of the plates on the earth?,geophysical and geochemical evidence exists for mantle convection? Is the whole mantle convecting or just part of it?What drives the motion of the plates on the earth?,geophysical and geochemical evidence for mantle convection?Of all the factors affecting the movement of a tectonic plate, it is indeed SLAB PULL that has by far the most significant influence.

Pink.(BSc Geology)What drives the motion of the plates on the earth?,geophysical and geochemical evidence for mantle convection?well i thought that last year it was established that the main force of plate motion is slab pull...What drives the motion of the plates on the earth?,geophysical and geochemical evidence for mantle convection?try to picture a volcano that is level with ground, ....... now it just lets out a slow continual flow. now picture that volcano just under the division of two separate plates.as this "volcano" is spewing the lava and moving the plate so slowly like1/8th of an inch a year an that is it but the proof it there is differently charged volcanic rock and +=positive -=negative and v=the part of the volcano where the lava comes out.

++--++--++--++V++--++--++--

see notic how the pattern is the same? well that is the way it is

Im pretty sure that is how it works
