What do you call the motion of this type of fan?

I'm not talking about the fan blades that circulate, I'm talking about the type of fan that is on a stand and the fan sort of sways back and forward, like in an incomplete circle. I thought of labeling the motion as "rotating" but wouldn't that mean it goes all the way around?
