Has anyone experienced chronic motion sickness even after returning to still ground?

A friend of mine has returned from a boat trip that had lasted approximately three months. It has been over a month now and he is still experiencing symptoms on motion sickness. From my friends perspective the ground moves as would the waves on the ocean.

Has anyone ever heard of this problem and is there a home remedy for this problem?Has anyone experienced chronic motion sickness even after returning to still ground?yes..he needs to see a Dr...it's an inner ear problem..he'll keep being dizzy till he gets some meds...(he can try some OTC stuff..Dramamine, etc) he might try something to empty his sinuses...(benadry, sudafed, actifed)

(sinuses+ears+throat+noses = trouble sometimes.)Has anyone experienced chronic motion sickness even after returning to still ground?
It's not unusual to have some lingering sensation of the boat rocking after a long cruise. I'm not sure if three months is too long or not. Your friend may have an ear infection or something else that is affecting his balance and prolonging the problem. It might be a good idea to see a doctor.Has anyone experienced chronic motion sickness even after returning to still ground?Yes, it usually happens when you've been on a boat, a plain or even an elevator and usually goes away within a few hours or sometimes days. If it doesn't go away you should see a doctor cause it may be vertigo or something more serious that should be looked into.Has anyone experienced chronic motion sickness even after returning to still ground?
Yes! I have experienced something very similar. What helped me was to take a vitamin B complex and Ginko Biloba everyday. Give it a week or two to see how well it works for you. Another good remedy in case you are feeling nausea is taking or eating ginger.

I hope you feel better soon. :-)Has anyone experienced chronic motion sickness even after returning to still ground?Could be an inner ear problem...he ought by now to have become accustomed to being back on dry land. Perhaps needs to get ears syringed.

I think usual time is about 10days for motion sickness to go, but different strokes for different folksHas anyone experienced chronic motion sickness even after returning to still ground?
