I live in Illinois, and was issued a warrant in Tennessee in 07 for motion to revoke probation. My question is this a felony or misdemeanor, and will i be nabbed in the airport when i go through customs? Im flying from Chicago o hare to Memphis tn to Europe. Anyone that could help would be much appreciated. Can i be arrested for a motion to revoke in another state if traveling overseas? As you will not go through customs at any point on your outbound flight until you reach Europe, there will not be any issues until you actually return to the US, at which point it is likely that your warrant will show up in the CBP records and it will become a problem for you. You may wish to consider clearing this matter before you leave, as it's certain that it will cause you more trouble than you want to deal with once you return to the US.
As for whether your violation is a misdemeanor or a felony, that may be a question better addressed in the proper section on Y! Answers (or, better yet, to an attorney). I'd venture, however, that the penalty for it would somehow be tied to the original offense for which you found yourself on probation to begin with. Can i be arrested for a motion to revoke in another state if traveling overseas?I must disagree with Naiko. Since you are flying through Tennessee, (Memphis) the Tennessee database may be linked to the STA flight manifests. You have to give your full name and date of birth as a part of ticketing, which is the information law enforcement officials need to identity you.
I don't know how likely this is to happen but it is certainly something about which you must be concerned.
Good Luck
