How to demon straight newtons 2nd law of motion with a model?

For a project me and my partner need to make a model demon straighing newtons second law of motion which states The change in velocity (acceleration) with which an object moves is directly proportional to the magnitude of the force applied to the object and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

Do you have any ideas? Please and thank you :)How to demon straight newtons 2nd law of motion with a model?I demonstrated these laws using a rolling hair from the school secretaries office.

2nd. F=ma

have someone measure the amount of force needed to move the chair with a large person in it compared to a small person. The measurement could be subjective, using the same person to measure.

Also measure if pushing the chair faster is more difficult than slowly.Note here however that getting the chair started works against gravity and friction, so is greater than just moving along. Actually it is inertia that says the chair will remain in place until a force acts on it, or remain in motion at a given speed till more force acts on it.How to demon straight newtons 2nd law of motion with a model?NOT easy because: we cannot see or change gravity

It is hard to measure acceleration, we can only measure distance and time

Friction is there but we cannot see it

you need something to reduce friction. some way to have small forces that you can compare, some way to have different Mass ( of about the same shape) ( a pound of feathers and a pound of lead have very different sizes

reduce friction by really good wheels or an air hockey table.

keep the force more or less the same with a stretched spring or pulley and weight ( but the weight is part of the total mass)

a good way to time accurately.

a good understanding of distance, velocity and acceleration

maybe use a "fast" video with a slow play back to film motion against a background with regular marks

PS the word is " demonstrate" and a Model is a little image not a real thing

e-m my icon with your idea and I will give a comment
