How do I track the motion of a motion platform to simulate the helicopter in microsoft X-plane?

im trying to make a helicopter flight simulator.....

were still trying to determine the type of motion platform, ie. servos, or hydrolics, Would you know which is smoother?

also....

how would i get microsoft x-plane to connect with the motions of the platform?

this this is going to be moving up and down and have 6 degrees of freedom.

how would i do this?
