Do people get used to motion sickness?

I see lots of studies in relation to remedies about sea sickness but will a person get used to sea sickness or motion sickness. And how long would you have to be exposed to get used to it? Say, on a deep sea fishing boat.Do people get used to motion sickness?on deepsea fishing boat most unlikely. our body makeup is such that we seldom get over it. medication is still required in many cases. just experiment with it and see how our tolerance goes. sometimes we grow out of it. some dont.
