How do you set your motion light to stay on all the time?

We are using our porch light to run power to our christmas lights, but it goes off every 10 minutes unless we wave our arm out the door, how do we set it up to stay on all the time and not just come on when something activates the motion sensor?How do you set your motion light to stay on all the time?If the light is wired to a circuit that's hot all the time, then you have to set it on the adjustment under the motion sensor part of the light.
