This means that if an object is moving along, untouched by a force of any kind, it will continue to move along in a perfectly straight line at a constant speed.How does the tablecloth trick demonstrate newtons first law of motion?an object will remain at rest until acted on by an equal or greater force,etc ,etc.
anyway, if you pull the table cloth from under the object on the table without pulling upwards(even slightest .) on the cloth you don't disturb the object.
if you do pull upwards the objects will move around or fall over.
this tricks requires the slightest of hand and incredible speed.
