u know hula hoops? those have marbles in them, cut the hoop in half so u have 2 hoops but are able to see the marble inside, and then build something where you crank it as the hoop tilts from one side to the other and then the marble will travel along the hoop inside the groove

Well, first sit the marble on a crystal glass table and tap it once with your index finger. It will continue until you tap it with your thumb.
Take it to outer space an turn it loose with a twist or maybe bring it down to cryogenic temperatures and do the same.
