How do you keep your cat from setting off motion sensor alarms at night?

I want to get a cat. My alarm does not have the option to accommodate pets or to turn the motion sensor off.I cannot put her in another room.How do you guys stop this or does she just stay near her food and water and sleeping couch? thank you :DHow do you keep your cat from setting off motion sensor alarms at night?If you want to be owned by a feline you will have to try another type of alarm. Laser beams will always be tripped by cats. You cannot confine a cat it's cruel. Cats jump so if you have motion sensors they would have to be set to where the cat doesn't go. What type of motion detector are you referring to and why do yo need it. If it is to turn on lights outside, is simple, keep the cat inside. But if you are referring to a whole house alarm the cat should not bother it unless he/she open the doors and windows. Which is very unlikely a can could do that.
