The motion sickness medicine dramamine makes you trip out if you take to much, so im wondering if thats what inspired the song?Was the modest mouse song Dramamine inspired by the motion sickness medicine?I think it has less to do with the fact that it glorifies overdosing on over the counter medicine to get you high like you're some 13 year-old kid and more to do with the subsurface meaning behind the name.
Think about it --- Dramamine suppresses motion sickness; it makes the "world" stop "spinning" so you can carry on and enjoy your life without feeling like you've lost total control. It's for sure not about tripping out on stuff you find in your parent's medicine cabinet. Look at the lyrics ---- "I've said what I said and you know what I mean / But I can't still focus on anything."
