How do I stop from getting motion sick on long bus/car rides?

I get really bad motion sickness when I'm in a car, or on a bus for an extended period of time (like over an hour). I hate it. I can't write, do homework, read, or sometimes even look out the window! Is there anything I can do to make myself not feel like this? How do I stop from getting motion sick on long bus/car rides? There is such a thing as motion sickness wrist bands that can be purchased from any place or site that caters to travelers. There are also pills that can be bought over the counter like Airborne and Draminine. How do I stop from getting motion sick on long bus/car rides?
if it is a long bus ride of car ride listen to music in the beggining then when u start to feel sick try to hide your stuff or put it on the inside of your seat and block it then take a nap or something then when u wake up u should feel better. it works for me.How do I stop from getting motion sick on long bus/car rides?take ginger pillsHow do I stop from getting motion sick on long bus/car rides?

I have to use dramamine in certain situations, like when I visit my sister who lives in the mountains and driving down the mountain is very windey road, so I always take a dramamine about 20 minutes before we leave and it seems to work great.

I have never been able to read for even a minute in a car without feeling sick.

Another thing I find is useful is to always face forward.
have ginger/ do,nt read do,nt drink much/dont look down/and keep your eyes moving.
